From the time I was a little girl, I’ve known words matter - they can be powerful and magical. They can connect you to others, spark your imagination and unearth emotions you didn’t even know you had. They sell.
Fast forward to college, I discovered a love for finding those perfect words to describe a scene, a feeling or even support a theme in The Merchant of Venice. At the same time, I fell hard for interior design.
With a Bachelor in English and Interior Design, I embarked on a journey to conquer the commercial design world. At the time, writing seemed a lost art in a world where Autocad was king.
But, I quickly found out that words still mattered. They gave me tools to communicate across platforms where other designers seemed lost.
Architecting a blueprint between a love for design and a love for words, I started writing more often - crafting corporate announcements, drafting newsletters for entrepreneurs, scripting blog posts for my own website and even penning articles for our local news website.
Decades into this, I believe more than ever that words matter for you, too. They have the power to strategically connect you to your audience. They also take time to craft. And what takes hours for you to write reduces time spent on increasing the bottom line.
